PCAL is a no-tolerance, smoke-free, weapon-free, drug-free campus. Any offenses will be dealt with immediately through the Montgomery County Sheriff's office, and the student(s) participating will be immediately dismissed. We reserve the right to implement random drug testing, as well as searches, in order to protect our students from any hostile environment.

DRESS CODE:

Other than earrings, no unapproved, visible body piercing jewelry will be allowed; those that are not approved by the teacher or staff must be removed or covered

No visible tattoos or other body markings will be allowed

Students must dress modestly at all times on or off campus as they relate directly to any PCAL function or program

Examples will include but are not limited to the following: Shorts must have a 4” inseam. Shirts or blouses must cover the midriff. No shirts that display offensive, obscene, profane, or sexual words, phrases, innuendoes or pictures will be allowed. No clothing styles that allow undergarments to be exposed will be allowed

ATTENDANCE:

Students who are tardy by over 10 minutes will be counted as absent, unexcused.

A student who is absent is responsible for getting his assignments and completing them as due.

A student who fails to attend three classes without a legitimate excuse (approval will be on a case by case basis)  per semester will be dropped and cannot re-admit without approval and re-registration.

Students should not arrive more than 15 minutes before class time, and must be picked up no later than 15 minutes after dismissal times.

DUAL CREDIT STUDENTS:

Only current students of PCAL will be recommended for dual credit classes at one of the North Harris Community College campuses. Classes that are non-credit classes at NHCC will not be considered dual credit classes at PCAL.

A student desiring to take dual credit classes must pay the $50.00 per semester registration fee, and take one class at PCAL for each class taken at the college.

Dual credit classes must be comparative high school level courses, and must be approved by a PCAL staff member.

Extra credit classes that a student completes at home under the supervision of PCAL may be available at a charge of $50.00 per ½ credit.

PCAL will accept no students who have been dismissed from their previous school for disciplinary reasons. Any student dismissed for any reason from another school must have his application reviewed by our board of directors, and a decision will be made by that board.

PCAL is not accredited by or affiliated with the state of Texas, nor do we wish to be. The staff of PCAL believes it is the parent’s responsibility to educate children, and we will not attempt to replace or relieve this responsibility from that parent. It is our aim to assist in any way possible.

PCAL is a member of SBACS-- the Southern Baptist Association of Christian Schools. This organization provides support, accountability, and credibility.
