Lighting the way for future generations

School Policies...

PCAL is a no-tolerance, smoke-free, weapon-free, drug-free campus. Any offenses will be dealt with immediately through the Montgomery County Sheriff's office, and the student(s) participating will be immediately dismissed. We reserve the right to implement random drug testing, as well as searches, in order to protect our students from any hostile environment.

No visible tattoos or other body markings will be allowed

Students must dress modestly at all times on or off campus as they relate directly to any PCAL function or program

No shirts that display offensive, obscene, profane, or sexual words, phrases, innuendoes or pictures will be allowed. No clothing styles that allow undergarments to be exposed will be allowed. No tube tops or caisole style blouses are allowed.

ATTENDANCE:

Students who are tardy by over 10 minutes will be counted as absent, unexcused.

A student who is absent is responsible for getting his assignments and completing them as due.

Unless prior arrangements are made, students who fail to attend three classes per quarter will be dropped and cannot re-admit without approval and re-registration.

Students should not arrive more than 15 minutes before class time, and must be picked up no later than 15 minutes after dismissal times.

DUAL CREDIT STUDENTS:

Only current students of PCAL will be recommended for dual credit classes at one of the North Harris Community College campuses. Classes that are non-credit classes at NHCC will not be considered dual credit classes at PCAL.

A student desiring to take dual credit classes must pay the $50.00 per semester registration fee, and take one class at PCAL for each class taken at the college.

Dual credit classes must be comparative high school level courses, and must be approved by a PCAL staff member.

Extra credit classes that a student completes at home under the supervision of PCAL may be available at a charge of $50.00 per ½ credit.
